Ways To Live A Happier Life
There are too many things that can ruin your mood, such as annoying people, bad weather, bad news, losing your earring, getting ink on your shirt, etc. You should not let these bad things affect you. Try the tips below to cheer yourself up.
1. Try to look at the brighter side of things. I know it might be hard to do so in difficult situations, but every situation exists something positive. Feel sad for losing your cell phone? May be it is an excuse for you to buy a new one. Got a parking ticket? At least it is just $25 but not a big amount.
2. Try to list out all the things that make you grateful. For example, your health, family, pet, home, work, holidays, buddies, laughing memories.
3. Laugh more. Although laughing classes do exist, I think you don’t really need to go to a class to be able to laugh. Next time when you feel angry for something, try to laugh instead of letting your anger show. It might sound ridiculous at first, but it does help alleviate anger. After a while, you will soon find yourself being able to laugh for real. Just try it and you will see.
4. Be optimistic. Expectations often affect the actual outcomes. If you think something will go well, it will probably be. I always expect I would be able to find a space for parking when I shop for grocery at busy hours, and I almost always do.
5. Try to save all the funny sayings, clips or quotations if it is possible. When you are sad, pick some of those and read through them, you will surely get back your smile.
6. Do a handstand. Yoga poses like a handstand are good for our organs and can help boost our mood too. If you can’t do a handstand, try using a wall as assistance by leaning your butt and legs against the wall.
7. Take more rest. Don’t push yourself too hard. A lot of people often try to do so many things in a day and end up having less than 6 hours of sleep a day. This is in fact a very bad habit that can seriously hurt your health. It is very important to relax more and spend some quality time with your family and friends.
We need to face many difficulties everyday, life is never an easy task. But if you can keep up a positive mindset, and avoid being troubled by mistakes, you must be happier.
