Lead Capture Page Creation

Creating a Lead Capture Page is a great idea for anyone selling goods online. Often referred to as a “squeeze page” they present a cheap and effective way to capture important information about people visiting your site.

Getting the page right can be tricky of you are new to internet marketing. So let’s take a look at what is important. Create a very attractive headline, it needs to get people’s attention. For example; Learn How To Become A Millionaire While You Sleep. Or, Become Thinner While You Sleep. Both examples would get most people a little curious and make them want to read a little more.

Then you need show who you are and why people should listen to you. Offer them proof as to why you are an authority in your field. One of the best ways to do this is by adding a video message to your page. Not only does this let people see who you really are, it shows them that you are sincere and will help improve your overall image with your audience.

Follow this with a brief look at what they can expect to gain by adding their details to your site. Dont show everything about your product or service, just enough to convince them. As an example “the secret that millionaires don’t want you to know”. Or, “What is the one food that can make you lose 20lbs without exercising?”

The most important item of the lead capture page is to include is the call to action. This is when you actually get the viewer’s contact information. I’ll give you one piece of advice. Don’t ask for too much information. In this day and age of identity theft and Internet fraud, very few people are going to be willing to give a total stranger full contact information. So, don’t ask for full name, address, email and phone number.

The minimum you will need is email address and first name of the contact. I would also recommend an “anti-spam” logo and privacy policy on the page to improve your credibility and trust.

It is important to get your capture page right first time. If you are yet to gain the experience in creating a great page when I would recommend using a professional until you are happy with your own work.
